The belief that motivational quotes can substitute for double-blind placebo-controlled trials, making you think every squat gets you closer to eternal life. "I saw a Fitspiration meme that said 'sore today, strong tomorrow'—is that even statistically significant?"
The endless loop of sweaty selfies reminding you that your best athletic days are yet to come—unless you give up, which is for quitters. "I’m using these Fitspiration quotes to ensure I crush those 30-year-olds at my next race. Rest days are for people with early bed times."
When someone who's never met you makes you want to squat until your grandma can bounce a dime off your glutes. Gains and abs not guaranteed, side of self-loathing included. "That Fitspiration chick makes me want to deadlift my fridge, but I'm just motivated to fetch another beer."
